This is the offical web site for Ithra sessions on Insula Magna. The University of Ithra is an
educational organization within the Kingdom of An Tir. This web page is not a corporate publication
of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The above is provided for information purposes only.
Printed documents shall always take precedence over web pages. If you have any questions or
concerns please contact the Web Page Deputy.

To register for a session you need to access a catalog, they are almost always available by both
electronic and paper copies. If you need a paper copy as soon as I have them available I will make
sure it is announced via local e-groups that they are available to be picked up from both myself and
my registrar as well send them to each community on the island. Also it will be announced on the
front page of this web site.

If you are able to access the web site though, you will be able to access the main Ithra web page
allowing you direct easy access to descriptions of the classes and on-line registration where you will
be registered but your class spot will not be held for you until you pay via check or cash to the
Registrar or myself directly.

If you need assistance accessing your records, have forgotten or do not know your user name or

To have an Ithra in your Shire, Barony, College or Port is a simple thing. Sit down with your council
and discuss what type of Ithra you might enjoy having. Is there a particular interest in your area; has
Elizabethan become all the rage? Or perhaps there are so many new comers you are desperate to
have some basic classes?
Once you have a concept you need a date, if you are able to have several weekend choices for me I
am much more likely to be able to find one that I will be able to include in my schedule but if you only
have one date and I am not available you are welcome to ask any other Chancellor of Ithra to hold an
Ithra.
This is true the other way around as well; if the Chancellor in your area is for what ever reason
unavailable on your chosen date you are free to ask to see if another is willing to come and assist
you.

There are also many types of Ithra’s that can be done; from single workshops to a full year program,
camping endeavors where you can explore loud classes or classes that have exclusive camping
themes that require the space that can only be found at a site.
Consider having a Ithra with your camping events; it gives non-combatants an extra element of things
to do.

Once you have a date and a theme, you than need to chose someone that can work as my Registrar;
someone who will work with me to run the event.

At that point your seneschal needs to contact me to settle the date and to invite me to hold an Ithra in
your area and you are in business!
