[Tina Zmaeff] is serving a seven-year sentence along with fellow Freedomite Mary Braun for burning down a Doukhobor's house in Gilpin, near Grand Forks.

VANCOUVER (CP) - A 61-year-old member of the Doukhobor offshoot group, the Sons of Freedom, says God told her to stop eating as she lay in a bed in Matsqui prison's psychiatric ward.

So Tina Zmaeff is fasting again, just a week after she ended a 57-day hunger strike.

"She told a staff person that she wanted freedom ... " federal correctional services spokesman Tom D'Aquino said Tuesday.
