Magic Carpet
storytelling workshops for kids

Workshop participants, November 2008

Through a range of interactive activities including, drawing, role-playing, writing and brainstorming,
children create collaborative stories that express their imagination
and creativity, and learn to work in a cooperative environment.

Magic Carpet Storytelling workshops
are designed for children ages
6 to 11,
and are offered to schools, public libraries, and community centres
in 1-½ hour sessions for groups of 8 – 45 children.

Sessions for teens or younger children can be arranged.

Lois Peterson is an experienced storyteller and creative writing instructor.
She worked in a public library for 30 years, many of which were spent helping children,
parents and teachers select suitable reading and research materials and presenting story times and programs.
