Lois J. Peterson

Lois J. Peterson’s essays, short stories, memoirs, and articles have appeared online and in print in Canada, the US, and the UK. Among other venues, her work has been published in the Globe and Mail, Maclean’s Magazine, the Writer, The Canadian Writer’s Guide 12th and 13th editions, various literary journals such as Room of One’s Own and the Clackamas Review, and the anthologies Scrap Magic and Other Stories (Pub. Fish Publishing) and Down in the Valley (Pub. Ekstasis).

She is currently at work on her first novel.

As a writer, editor, and consultant she works with creative writers, businesses and nonprofits to help them communicate effectively with readers, editors, customers, through her company LPwordsolutions.

She presents writing courses and workshops and coordinates the Surrey Creative Writing Diploma Program in Surrey, British Columbia – one of the largest programs of its type in North America. Known as a dynamic presenter who offers practical writing tools and strategies, she also presents workshops to non profits and small business.

In her ‘other life’, Lois J. Peterson works as Development Officer for a large public library.

Born in the UK, she lives in Surrey, British Columbia.
