Please visit the photo gallery for some pictures of previous Summer Camp fun.

Music Friends Summer Day Camps are designed to bring children (or parents and children!) together to play music in small groups (up to 8 children).

Each Summer Camp is 5 days (Mon. - Fri.), either 9:30 AM to 12 noon, or 1 PM to 3:30 PM, and take place in my home studio on the west side (Dunbar area) of Vancouver.

During that time the children will learn a variety of music. They will also do fun theory games and technique. The idea is to get the kids excited about their music and to reinforce what their private teacher is doing with them.

Who can attend?

  • Any child who can read music at an appropriate level. While children generally like to be with their peers by age, there is some room for flexibility depending on skill level.
  • Ages 7-8
  • Ages 9-11 or 12
  • Ages 12 & up--If there are enough participants.
  • Almost any instrument accepted: violin, piano, cello, viola, flute, recorder, tin whistle, guitar. If in doubt, just ask!
