Year-Round Programs

*Students may join anytime thoughout the year,
as soon as space is available.

My specialty is tailoring music instruction specifically to the needs of individual members in a group situation. Although it is required that everyone (except in the beginners' classes) be able to read music, the skill levels between students can be different. It's important that students at more advanced levels remain challenged and interested while students at less advanced levels do not feel overwhelmed.

Generally, children are most comfortable socially with kids of similar age, so that is a prime determining factor in creating a group, yet it is necessary to address different levels of competency. Using my computer music program I create arrangements that give each student what is needed to grow and to be fulfilled in a way that is comfortable, exciting, and gives them the thrill of the group playing experience.

Group Lesson Rates are $20.00 for each weekly one hour lesson, payable by monthly post-dated cheques in advance.

Private Lesson Rates are $50.00 per hour, $25.00 per half hour.

There is also a annual administration fee of $25.00 to cover costs of materials and recital fees.

Beginners Groups - Violin only

• Children learn violin/fiddle from scratch, as part of a group
• Reading music not necessary to begin lessons.
• Any age from 7 years to teens, grouped by roughly the same age.
• Classical, Celtic, folk, popular—I customize the music we use according to the needs and desires of the group.
• 60 minutes once a week.
• Maximum 8 students per group.
• Violin from Fan's String World is around $25/month.
