  • Installing DbAgentService on Windows 2000/2003 Server is now supported.

Issues

  • Running BoincSpy on Windows 98SE / WIndows Me does not work correctly, Win98 has issues displaying graphics ( at least with Virtual PC ). Windows ME cannot save the database results. Further investigation shows that the .net Framework 2.0 is causing these issues. Will check verify again when MS releases a new version.

  • Have switched to .net framework 2.0 (beta). I know its beta but I wanted to use Visual Studio 2005 ( Whidbey )
  • Color scheme changed, this may not work I will revert back if there is user backlash.
  • Global assembly installer will install the .net framework 2.0 beta if not previously installed.
What's fixed
  • BoincSpy did not work with BoincSpy 4.0x, it was not getting the cpu / percentage complete values correctly.
  • Pulse detection change, it should report/save pulses.

  • Using the GUI RPC API does not work consistently, it works on some platforms, and not on others ( OS does not matter ). So for this release, I am reverting back to reading the client_state.sah. There will be a new version of the RPC in V 4.0 version of BOINC.I will revisit then. You may see -109 errors in the message dialog boxes ( which you can ignore ). YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THIS RELEASE IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING PROBLEMS.

  • Fix the calculation on determining the size of the buffer for the Boinc RPC API. This was causing BoincSpy to indicate that BOINC was not running ( in fact it was ). There were other side effects as well. This was especially true if running multiple projects with allot of WU's in the queue.

I was missing all the predictor WU's. - Database Agent will display warnings if the project being analysed is not supported.
