Hello! Happy To Meet You!
Finally after about a year or so and 8 or more separate webpages I thought I should introduce myself.
To those who know me - you might find out something you did not know! For those of you who are visiting my website through my webfriends links, I welcome you to stay awhile!
I was born in Krefeld, Germany in the Rhine River Valley near Cologne.
The city of Krefeld is kown world wide for the manufacturing of Silk and Velvet.
It has always been a dream of mine to cruise the Rhine River with its many Castles and visit the beautiful, old cities of Germany!
The Rhine River Valley is also known for its wonderful Wine! Rhine Wine!
Every year in February, Germans, especially in Cologne, celebrate "Fasching" which is the equivalent of Mardi Gras in the Americas! Much of this Rhine Wine and also German Beer is consumed at this time. The leftovers are enjoyed throughout the rest of the year! Germans love good food and humour-including me-eventhough I have made Canada my home for most of my life, I have kept up that tradition. Most of my other relatives still live in Germany.
Before coming to British Columbia we lived for one year in Edmonton, Alberta. If you visit 'Carolines Homepage' you can experience the beauty of my Province and the Okanagan Valley where I live.

I am too young for Pension and too old for Mini Skirts - but I suppose I am a child at heart!
I love animals, tame and wild. Bear and Deer visit my backyard routinely-year round.
I love the Ocean - Lighthouses and Whales, especially Killer Whales also known as Orca. They are actually mammals because they feed their offspring milk. Whales belong to the Dolphin family which are small whales. Whales breath through a blowhole on top of their heads.
My most favorite flower is the Orchid. I have 6 growing and blooming all year round. One of these I raised myself from a cutting taken from the mother-plant. These are just two of them!!
My Orchids I keep inside at a comfortable temperature. Outside in my flowerbeds and rockeries I grow Carnations - Roses and Pansies, my other favorite flowers! I also have a Hummingbird Garden which consists of mainly those wild flowers most attractive to these fragile little birds!! Butterflies also visit this sunny part of my garden!
I love fresh ground-fresh brewed black coffee and I dislike instant or artificial "Anything" - Especially plastic flowers!
I sew alot of my own clothes. I use to knit intricately designed sweaters with ribbons, mohair and other natural fibres such as cotton and silk. I love needle point and crochet. When my arthritis allows, I still try to keep busy with my handycrafts. That is when I am not busy at my Computer which has filled most of my spare time since I became "Addicted" !
I love Teddies and I collect Barbies, but only the ones which are worth collecting. The Anniversary Barbies are very beautiful. I also have the Millenium Angel. I would love to have this Harley Barbie but so far no such luck!
I also love to dance. Some of my favorite movies are with John Travolta - Grease. Patrick Swayze - Dirty Dancing. Romancing the Stone - Jaws! All the 007 movies with Sean Connery, who is my favorite male actor and Michele Pfeifer is my favorite female actor.
Of course ALL Sci Fi movies are at the top of my most favorite list including Star Wars - Independence Day - Matrix etc etc.
I like some of the old german "Heimats Lieder" Volksongs. I love up tempo accordian music, Polkas and the old german christmas songs. My favorite german singer is Heino! I love his Sea Shanties "Seamans Lieder" !
Some of my other favorites are Roy Orbison - Neil Diamond - Julio Iglesias - Rod Stewart and Brian Adams. I also love the German singers Freddy Quinn and Hansi Hinterseer Shania Twain is my favorite female singer, I am listening to her right now on my CD Player in the PC. Also LeAnn Rimes and Celine Dion - who can forget Titanic!
In my imagination and dreams Fairies and Angels take flight - as you may have noticed on some of my other pages.
I think that just about covers most everything about me! I live in a beautiful valley in British Columbia only 8km away from some of the best skiing in Canada and I guess the only thing I forgot to mention is --- I dont ski! I know what you're thinking ----- what a waste! Right? But I am just afraid that this will happen to me!!!!!!!
