Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Chris moved to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, more than twenty years ago. In that time, he's worked for several different companies on various projects. His longest stint by far was with TELUS Corporation, Canada's second largest telecommunications company. His career with TELUS began in 1990 with Operator Services where he manned the lines as a telephone operator, handling toll calls and directory assistance inquiries. At the same time, he completed a two-year diploma program at Langara College in Computer Information Systems. This led to being assigned the project of developing the Operator Services intranet website which allowed ease of access to constantly changing procedures and policies within the department. In 1998, he moved on to ISM-BC(now TELUS Enterprise Solutions), TELUS' information technology subsidiary, where he initially worked in the Training Department. His work in developing the training database improved accessibility to training records and the preparation of training budget reports. One year later, he accepted a position with the Midrange-Unix department as Documentation Coordinator. His main task there was to to maintain several technical documents and develop a intranet website to store these documents online. He also participated on a team to design and develop best practices in server management. This involved setting quality assurance standards and auditing the application of these standards. In 2000, Chris left TELUS to upgrade his skills and take some long needed personal time. Feeling reinvigorated, he began his own website development firm and actively seeks new clients by offering continuously expanding services.
