The MR2 goes into winter hibernation... 

For the first time, I'm putting the MR2 in winter storage.  I don't want to drive her in lousy weather or on salted roads anymore.  I've got a new general purpose vehicle to use instead.  The MR2 will now only be a "summer" car.

I went to fix the slow leaks in both my rear tires today and ended up replacing all my tires.  I didn't realize the rears were that low.  So now I'm riding on Dunlop SP Sport W-10 all around...

I think I've settled on my KYB AGX shock settings.  2 in front and 1 at the back.  I tried 3/2 for a while and found the combo with Eibach Sportlines a tad too firm for some of the badly patched streets in town.

I had my Eibach Sportlines and KYB AGX shocks installed by Comptech Performance.  I also got a 4 wheel alignment.  Finally, the car looks right.  I'm quite satisfied with the reduced fender gap.  The car feels much tighter and of course the ride is firm.  It's also a little bouncy but I haven't adjusted the shocks yet as they're still on their softest settings (1/1).

I removed the stock airbox and installed a modified 90-93 Integra intake.  HOLY SMOKES!  What a HUGE difference in sound.  I read that it would be loud but I was still shocked when I first stepped on the throttle.  I like it!

I received my front KYB AGX shocks from the Tire Rack today.

I received my rear KYB AGX shocks and strut boots from the Tire Rack.  Still waiting on the front shocks.  Shipping is pretty fast (ordered 12-Mar) & relatively inexpensive.  I would have gotten this stuff last Friday if I was home to receive it from UPS.

Finally received my Eibach Sportline springs from Supra GT!  I originally ordered them 26-Oct-01.  But I'm not complaining since I got a good price and wasn't in a rush to install them during the winter.  Now I have to decide who's going to install them and whether I should get new shocks.

My TRD shortshifter came in today!  Cool.  The instructions are in japanese but it shouldn't be too hard to install from the pictures.  I'll probably install this before my intake.

I swapped out my MOMO SuperAnatomico shift knob for a Race AirLeather.  I like the change, very nice feel.

Today I received the cold air intake I bought off eBay.  It's an SRP Intake for a 90-93 Integra.  I'll have to customize it of course...  Hopefully, I'll have time to install it soon.

I decided to get a TRD Quickshifter after seeing so many on the web.  The general consensus seems to be quite positive.  I don't have too much complaints about the stock shifter.  It's solid and the side to side throw is pretty close.  But the forward-backward throw is a little long.  I chose TRD simply because it's Toyota Racing Development.  I called my Toyota dealer and placed an order but I was told they're on backorder.  Not too much of a problem since it's still winter and I'm not in a terrible rush.
