The moneys generated provide trail grooming, (when money and conditions permit, it is usually done once a week) trail & signage enhancement and cabin improvements.

The Fernie Snowmobile Association maintains 2 warm up cabins in the local area. They are located in the Morrissey (Minnesota Flats) riding area as well as the Ram Creek riding area.

"The Fernie Snowmobile Association was formed to insure the continuance of the sport of snowmobiling and to enhance the public image of the sport of snowmobiling and as a social club for snowmobile enthusiasts."
