Notes for GEORGE ROBERT ROBINSON:
- There are two different stories as to why George R. Robinson changed his name from Robinson to Robertson. One story goes that there was considerable trouble with another man of that name (George Robinson) who lived close by. The other storey says that he was upset with the Irish for some reason and did not want to be associated with Ireland and all things Irish. All of George Robinson/Robertson's children are registered by the name of Robinson, but they are known by the name of Robertson to everyone that they know. From here on, all references to the family surname are ROBERTSON.
