No visit to this area would be complete without a tour of the Mascot Mine which virtually hangs on the cliffs overlooking Hedley. This tour takes approximately 4.5 hours and begins at the Interpretation Center. The Hedley-Similkameen area hosts attractions to cater to the need of most travelers' interests. We have listed some of these but be sure to check with Dan or Shirley to ask about your own interests that are not in this list. Princeton Golf & Country Club - 25 min. west in Princeton. Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club - 40 min. north of Gold Mountain R.V. Park. Visit the Fruit Stand Capital of B.C. and the Grist Mill - Keremeos There are 50+ wineries, some which are world renowned within a 54 mile (90 km) radius from Hedley including the "Wine Capital of Canada" - Oliver. Spend a day on the Cathedral Rim Trail Rides. In the historic village of Hedley there are numerous places to while away the hours: The Hitching Post Restaurant. The Nickel Plate Cafe.
