We Need a Further Protest..

“What ! give our loot to hockey teams, your right out of your head”
“it is our National Game” I hear you cry
“we have six teams the USA has twenty two my friend
it’s not our game no more” is my reply

“Apart from that I have not watched the game for many years
there’s not much skill involved there anymore
it’s goons on ice, not hockey skill, it’s dumb Don Cherry’s game
all smash and crash, our game’s inferior”

And what an outcry there arose, my thinking it was shared
by many folk who are in some despair
they work too hard, pay too much tax, get little in return
then watch it being squandered, I declare

If we could generate, the same outrage, ‘bout Sheila’s flags
and all our Senate ‘sleepers’... then again
a question ‘bout $1 Billion that’s been ‘lost’ by HRD
does anyone up there have a half a brain?

I’ve often said I would prefer to squander my own cash
I worked my butt of to acquire a bit
but Governments they grab so much then throw it to the wind
as if this action was a requisite

Of Governing, why don’t we start a movement here and now
let’s say “unless you folk show some restraint
we will not fill your coffers, ‘cos we will not pay our tax”

Now Canada, it’s time for OUR Complaint...
