Are You Ready for Y2K ?

It’s now December Twenty Nine, just two more days to go
to see if everything goes ‘all to pot’

There’s folks who say “there is no way that everything will fold”
and others who are just as sure “we’re shot”

I’m one of those folks in-between, although I must admit
we’ve taken some small steps, it’s justified

Like gassing up the cars and making sure the fire’s laid
and having drinking water set aside

We even have some water there so we can flush the bog
and do the dishes, even wash a pan

We’re ready if this Y2K is all they say ‘twill be
disaster striking on the first of Jan

We’re ready too if Y2K is all a load of bunk
we might just have an earthquake, it appears

‘The experts say, a major one, the ‘Big One’, it is due,
should happen in the next one hundred years
