Our trip to the Oregon Coast
July 2006

It was hot boring work painting the garage trim,
and the Houben family was getting restless.
The weather was perfect and the road beckoned.
So on July 5th, with the van packed and
Loretta's parents loaded into the rented Dodge Caravan,
the adventure began.
It was Oregon or bust... |
| This was not the
first stop we made, but it was a necessary stop for lunch at the
Country Cousin Restaurant in Centralia, WA.
Here are Loretta's Mom and Dad having fun in the
barnyard. Where is the dog?

Fort Borst Park,
right across the street from Country Cousin's. This is the spot our
family always had a picnic lunch in those long ago days of the 1960's
and 1970's.
