Summer of 1997

Ashley is looking very cool in her little cotton sundress. This was very easy to make! But doesn't she look sweet? We were at her house a lot that summer, taking care of her ailing Mommy. (she was expecting James)

  January 1998

Ashley and baby James have been for a stroll in the weak winter sunshine, wearing matching teddy bear print fleece jackets! Sewn by a loving auntie, of course, in January 1998.

Camouflage duo!

I had a lot of fun sewing these thick fleece jackets for my men, in February 1998. I finished them in time for Matthew's 9th birthday. They both really liked them.

It's certainly different sewing for boys and men! Nothing dainty about these jackets, but they are very warm and serviceable!

They are now ready to stalk into the wilds of the BC forests...

Cherry Girl

The cute cherry print for Ashley's dress was purchased at Daisy Kingdom. I made it for her 4th birthday, July 1998, but alas, neglected to measure the length! She really liked it, though. I made a matching dress for the doll she's holding. It turned out cute, too.

 Little Bo Peep

Ashley had a Nursery Rhyme Day in Grade 1, September 2000. I was asked to design a costume! I used a pattern I had already; the same one I used for Ashley's Anne of Green Gables costume.

It was fun to make. I loved sewing the pantaloons with the rows of eyelet lace. I made it out of simple cotton fabric. The hat was fun to make, too!

I think she looks adorable!
