Alberta Trip May 2005 - May 25

We arrived at Dinosaur Provincial Park on the evening of May 24, and quickly pitched camp as rain was threatening.  The next morning we went exploring in the badlands around the park.  The wind howled with more gusto than ever, nearly blowing Anna off a high bluff as she tried to take a photograph.

The land is austere but beautiful, and full of endless curiosities and surprises.  Full of fossils and bits of dinosaur bone as well, which you can find easily once you learn what to look for.  Also full of intriguing holes, crannies, caves, and other refuges that ought to house myriad life, though we didn't see very much of it.
