My computer life is centered around genealogy so I might find a thing or two to pass on about it. Running a computer for any reason requires software, and the better the software the more fun it is all round. So I'll be telling you about my favorites, how they relate to genealogy, and what I consider the essentials for making the ride easier. This is what you might call your meat and potato posts. I'm not a super-techy type so if you're looking for glitz and glam I probably can't help you. If you're one of the huddled masses, like me, read on. Right out of the box, I have to tell you - all of my web pages view better in Firefox. That's a fact. If Firefox was a breakfast cereal my breakfasts would taste better. I don't know what else to say about Firefox without begging, so I'll put it this way: if you're still using Internet Explorer as your browser, o god, please stop.  |
