Canadian Motorcycle guide online - Originators of the "Mad Bastard Scooter Rally" and other articles of irreverent nature. Also has a New Buyers Guide posted showing offerings of Scooters in Canada. Articles include scooter road tests and they have a current test of a Yamaha BWS 125.Scooter Canada Magazine - Available at your local newstand or by subscription. Features scooters available in Canada with feature reports such as road tests. International Magazines
Scootering Magazine - Probably the longest running and most widely available Scooter magazine . Deals mainly with classic scooters and the UK scooter scene but it's crammed full of stuff and always an interesting read. Highly critical in their evaluations and better than most as they drive the sh*t out of anything they test drive so if it survives a scootering test unscathed, it means more than an article by a Newbie who rides to get a latte and then writes a review that generally ends with "I love this scooter". Scootering gives review you can count on an honest appraisal of the scooters faults and strengths. TAG magazine - (Twist&Go) An offshoot of scootering magazine as all the classic scooterists were complaining about the modern scooters featured in "their" magazine. Lot's of in-depth reviews by very informed writers. Same comments as Scootering when it comes to tests. The only thing that will bug you is they get a lot of scooters in The UK we'll never see here. Scoot magazine - A group of scooterists from California launched this magazine. Originally a classic scooter oriented, it's expanded to include modern scooters available in "North America" (translation; United States). A good read and a bit more relevant regarding local rallies and the scooter scene than the UK mag. Some occasional Canadian content. Has a buyers guide each year. Relies on reader submissions so , if you have the need to write, give them a shout with your idea. Features riders scooters, rallies info and reports etc. |
