If Susy was at work and Neil hadn't yet arrived, she always waited for him eagerly. For when they were working coinciding shifts Neil would spend much time freezing outside as he would talk to Susy at the crosswalk. This went on for a couple of months before Neil asked Susy out on their first date. In January after the Motorbike show Neil decided to ask Susy out, only he didn't want to make her feel awkward, so he invited another co-worker out for dinner and mini golf as well.
After this first night outside of work together Neil was driving Susy home, but as they reached the Mission Bridge they were caught in a back up of traffic. There had been a very serious car accident, in which one person was killed, they decided it would take a while for this accident to clear up so Neil turned the truck around and they went for coffee. It seems they really hit it off and haven't been apart for long periods of time since.
