Norway 2004 - Sunday, September 26th - Little Canada Plaque Unveiling
The Little Canada cabin has been deteriorating and it was decided to place a plaque there to commemorate its war-time use by MILORG. Arne Mæland made a bronze casting from an original wood carving by Jakob Hjelle, a renowned local wood carver and leader of the Os MILORG. Jon Magne Bogevik, acting mayor of Samnanger, officiated and Helen told stories of MILORG's use of Little Canada before the plaque mounted on the front wall was unveiled.
