The Uniform

The uniform is a dress tunic which carries the British Columbia Ambulance Service shoulder crests worn over a white long sleeved shirt, trousers with blue piping and a cap with gold band. Boots must be polished to a mirror shine. The lanyard worn on the left shoulder and the white gloves are the signifier of an official Honour Guard Member. The pins and buttons all carry the Province of British Columbia's coat of arms and there is no designation as to level of management, only level of Paramedic, Paramedic Level I, II, or III, by the collar dogs on the uniform shirt. The five year service bar(s) is/are worn on the left cuff. The Honour Guard wear the "In the Line of Duty" pin on the left breast pocket, all other members of the Ambulance Service must wear it on the right.
