On to a new RV park that everybody said is the place to stay between Manzanillo and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. KM 196 on Mex 200 libre along the coastal route Buganvilia RV Park: for info see link below: Some scenery along the way

Buganvilia RV Park Has all services with cement pads for each site. free Internet, laundry for 15 pesos/load, book exchange, free bananas or coconuts depending what the owners hang in front of the restaurant that day. A 3 minute walk down a path to the beach through a coconut grove.

These are holes that crabs come out after the first rain and crawl on the ground between coconut trees and get what ever coconuts are on the ground

When you leave the path and enter the beach from the RV Park you should turn right on the beach and walk approximately 1 Km until you reach the restaurant. You can't miss it. After eating or drinking at this restaurant you can walk up the road about 1 Km until reach the small town of La Placita. A few shops, school, farmacia, etc. Not a lot of shopping. For shopping in a larger center you would want to drive back to Tecoman.
John and I decided to try Coconut water. This gentleman is getting our coconuts. We paid 10 pesos/ea
John enjoyed his drink. I was a little turned off because it was luke warm.
Our next stop was a little camping area known as "El Faro" about 20 minutes down the road. We wanted to see what it looked like and the facilities. The locals thought it was one of the prettier beaches along the coast with beautiful blue water and nice sand. It only takes small rigs. This is a typical Mexican vacation beach. We passed many along the way. The cost for staying here was 50 pesos/night for a tent and probably double that for an RV as that seems to be the norm. No services, but what a beautiful beach!! It has bathrooms and showers. There are restaurants and the small pueblo where you may purchase necessities
This is the road to the beach off the highway. Anytime you see a road like this in a small pueblo (town/village) it is usually has been built and paid for by the federal gov't
El Faro beach
You park alongside the palapas and then can also put your tent under the palapa for shelter. Of course you may park your lwan chair and stuff there as well
