About Us

We are a group of students learning various martial arts with our main focus from the Philippine Islands and Indonesia. Our goal is to better ourselves thru cross training with other martial cultures. We train anywhere and everywhere when we can and to have FUN while doing so. We invite anyone with an open mind to cross train with us.

We have certified instuctors in Courtenay, Campbell River and Chemainus all on Vancouver Island, B.C. If anyone is interested in finding out more in what we do Ed Ursulom along with Rob Wilson and Dave Grove are willing to share their knowledge to any individual or groups. If interested in having Guro Ed Ursulom come and do a seminar for you and your group please email us for more information.

Instructor

Our head instructor is Ed Ursulom pictured on the left with Grandmaster Ernesto Presas Sr. founder of Kombatan and the IPMAF organization. Ed Ursulom began his Martial Arts training in Karate in the Fall of 1979 training under Sensei Peter Hilhorst in Comox, B.C. He trained for a number of years in the Comox Dojo while at the same time training in different discipline some privately. Training not so much to achieve ranking but to better understand other martial cultures.

Next is Guro Dave Grove. Guro Dave has been doing arnis with Guro Ed Ursulom since 1995 and he brings with him experience in wing chun, tae kwon do as well as aikido. Guro Rob Wilson who has recently opened up a club in the Comox Valley is the next one. Guro Wilson has been training with Guro Ed Ursulom and Guro Dave Grove for over 6 years steady. Both are very capable students as well good instructors.
