So....you want to know more about the kids at Third Street School eh? Well you have come to the right place. The list of kids is growing and so is the information, but I will try to do my best to get everyone.

There is one little thing though. Since there are very few pictures out there, I have had to resort to drawing most of the characters myself. I hope you don't mind. I think I did a decent job.

Theodore.J. Detwieller (T.J.) (aka. Crazy Monkey Boy, Crown Prankster Prince)

Grade: 4

Special Interests: 4 Square, Kickball, Senor Fusion, playing practical jokes on staff and students, The Dude, space travel, being a kid.

Info: TJ is a below average student who spends his time daydreaming about fun and games and creating new words (eg. Whomps) rather than the task at hand. Despite his low grades he is a proven leader with a strong sense of justice. TJ is well liked among his peers.

Memorable moments: Cutting the hair of all the students of 3rd St., discovering the secret 3rd St. treasure, throwing the biggest party in 3rd street history as principal for a day, helping Gus stay clean for class photos.

Ashley Spinelli (aka. Girl Who Runs With Fists, Spanoodi: Queen of the Kindergartners)

Grade: 4

Special Interests: Kickboxing, pro-wrestling, the first iceball of winter, arguing with the Ashleys.

Info: Spinelli (as she like to be called) is a hotheaded, tough young student that has a short temper. However she is always standing up for the little guy. She is always having to protect her "Rep', (eg. embarrassed about ballet, and her "Mama" comment to Miss Groetky)

Memorable moments: winning the Little Miss Blush Beauty pageant, creating a blacktop masterpiece, spending an evening doing the hula with Miss Finster, creating a cult based on the "ideals" of the swinger girl.

Gustav Patton Griswold (Gus) (aka. El Diablo), Safety Man, formally The Gusler Kid, formally New Kid, formally Quiet Boy.

Grade:4

Interests: military history, chipped beep on crackers, chocolate milk, class pictures.

Info: Gus has not been with 3rd Street school for long. In fact he has not been in any school for very long. He is a reserved student who makes a great impact for the students of the school, (finding 100's of balls from the "Yard of No Return", proclaimed "Safety Man", trapping Miss Finster in a homemade "Gelman" trap ).

Memorable moments: Becoming a Substitute King and starting a war, turning the jungle gym into a bachelor pad, meeting his Norwegian friend Yope, standing up to King Bob his very first day of school, turning himself in for shoplifting.

Vincent LaSalle (Vince)

Grade:4 (plays like a Grade 6)

Interests: Sports, sports, sports, cooking and Barnaby Boys books.

Info: Vince is a fantastic athlete who excels in almost every sport. Even taught Principal Prickly the art of golf. He is much like his big brother Chad; always helping a younger person in need. He has also been elected Class President for 3 years running. Vince does not like to lose.

Memorable moments: Being beaten in kickball by Ashley Q, saving Mikey's life from a kickball, being rated a 9 by the Ashley's, losing his lucky marble.

Gretchen Grundler (aka. Smart Girl)

Grade: 4 (should be in 3rd year university)

Interests: Her Galileo, Math, space projects, science fairs, reading.

Info: Gretchen is 3rd St. School's smartest student since Stinky Peterson. She tutors the teaching staff after school so that she can be with her friends. There is nothing this child cannot do...except maybe sports.

Memorable moments: being teased by Jeffery (who had a crush on her), helping King Bob with the building of a pyramid, winning the Citywide Yo-yo Championship, having her science project win a spot on board the space shuttle.

Mikey Blumberg

Grade: 4 (as big as a grade 8)

Interests: Poetry, singing, looking up at the clouds, being peaceful, Miss Salamony..and NOT Bonky!

Info: Mikey is a gentle giant. He fights for the rights of the weak. (eg. ending the Kindergarten Races, saving his his cat Stuart and her babies from a dumpster). He is a boy who sees the beauty inside, rather than the outside...which may explain his messy hair and untucked shirt.

Memorable moment: Running around the playground with a hole in his pants, playing goalie for the Winning Guys, turning 10 years old, playing Santa in the school play, being a Safety Ranger, quitting the Safety Rangers.

Randall J. Weems (aka. Weasel Boy, formally Prince Randall)

Grade: 4

Interests: Spying, snooping, sneaking, and dreaming of....dare I say..Ruling the playground!

Info: Randall is the sort of boy a teacher can trust. Always making sure the kids are in line, like a lone hawk keeping a watch eye over its fellow man. He is always in the know. However his "helpful" ways seem to cause friction among the rest of the playground...in other words they hate his guts!

Memorable moments: Blackmailing King Bob and being crowned Prince of the Playground, performing standup comedy, getting a swirly by order of King Bob, starting a food fight, celebrating his birthday at the school.

King Bob (formally Pharoh Bob, formally Crown Prankster Prince, formally Whahoozit the Dutch foreign exchange student)

Grade:6

Interests: Bossing the children of the playground with fairness, writing his memoirs, sending people to the Dodgeball Wall, riding in his royal throne, puppies.

Info: King Bob is a fair but short-tempered King. Following in the steps of such greats as King Morty and King Dude, he has proven to be a valuable King. Without him the playground is helpless. As for his school work, it is believed that his homework is done by his servants. We are still looking into it.

Memorable moments: Building the great playground pyramid, being blackmailed by Randall, creating the great soccer trophy "The King Bob Cup", hiring substitute King Gus, sitting on a whoopie cushion.

Digger Sam

Grade:4

Interests: Digging, dirt, shovels.

Info: Digger Sam is a very focused person when it comes to the task at hand, however the task always seems to be digging holes. Sam depends on his partner for focus and planning....or else he ends up turning the playground into Swiss Cheese.

Memorable moments: Splitting up with his partner Digger Dave, getting back together with Digger Dave, finding the 3rd St. treasure, having his hair cut like the guys in Dog's Pajamas.

Theresa Laverne LeMaize (Cornchip Girl)

Grade:2

Interests: Cornchips, the game "Air and Sea", chipped beef on crackers.

Info: Coming from a long line of Naval officers, Corny is such an adorable little girl who is always looking to meet new friends. She always seems to be the Anti-Randall, the informant of good. Lately she has been the unofficial 7th member of the Recess gang, especially with her strong friendship with Gus. If only their fathers could get along.

Memorable moments: watching Randall's standup routine, then shutting him down, being secret friends with Gus, awarding TJ with a cornchip in the shape of Abe Lincoln.

Ashley Armbrewster

Grade:4

Interests: Boys, fashion, her friends, being SCAN-DOU-LOUS.

Info: Ashley is a member of the famed "Ashley's". She is strong willed, rich, artistic with chalk and hates it when she doesn't get her way. She is very ingenious when putting a plan together, unfortunately those plans mean making others sorry (eg. Jinxing Gus). Within her mischievous soul though is a caring heart...You just have to look for it, like Gretchen did one day.

Memorable moments: Rating the student body on a scale from 1-10 (she was a 10 of course), Purple Day: the first day the 4 Ashleys met, forgetting to wear purple on Purple Day, having Menlow carry her books home because her Kindergarten sister, Brittany, stole her diary.

Irwin Lawson

Grade: 5

Interests: Being witty, funny and beating Vince in sports...however they have all yet to come true.

Info: Lawson is a strange boy who is very competitive. He is quite athletic, however he is not too bright, which explains his silly outbursts: "Look! I am a walking talking applesauce!" or "12 and 7 make...18! WE WIN!" But no matter how competitive he is towards the Recess gang, he still has a great deal of respect for them.

Memorable moments: Taking over "Fort Tender" and naming "Fort Fort", beating Vince at soccer with his team "The Winning Guys", creating his own gang to compete against the Recess Gang, which ended with a whimper.
