MCT Training (home)

.A new cognitive bias training program has been developed by our research group (Moritz, Woodward & Metacognition study group, 2007). The Metacognitive Training for Patients with Schizophrenia (MCT) program uses examples based on cognitive research to increase awareness of the cognitive biases that may underlie delusions, and training patients to counter these biases. Some of the basic research on which this program is based was completed in the Cognitive Research Laboratory at Riverview Hospital, in collaboration with Dr. Steffen Moritz. This training program is available through the links below, and can be administered by special arrangement to groups of patients free of charge by contacting Dr. Woodward. This program would be particularly beneficial for patients in the early stages of psychosis (e.g., first episode patients).
