My Aircraft

The SIG Kadet LT-40 is a high quality "trainer" series RC Aircraft with a 70 inch wingspan and a 56 inch mainframe length weighing a mere 5.5 pounds.
My Aircraft Engine
Tower .040 2 stroke glow engine
What is a glow engine?
R/C models are powered in a variety of ways. Sailplanes, for
example, need no power source other than nature. But they’re the exception.
Nearly all R/C vehicles, aircraft, boats and helicopters require something to
propel them into action.
Electric models use small motors, powered by battery cells. Those motors should not be confused with glow engines — which are actual internal combustion power plants that form the heart of any “gas” or “nitro” powered R/C model.
Most gas R/C models use a 2- or 4-stroke glow engine, sized specifically for that model. Typically, they range in displacement from .040 cu. in. to 1.2 cu. in. — a variety that satisfies virtually any model’s power requirements.
Glow engines cannot be operated with the same gasoline you’d get at a filling station pump. They require a special fuel, called “glowfuel.” It contains methanol as the base, with varying amounts of nitromethane to increase the energy that the fuel can provide. Oil, pre-mixed into the fuel, lubricates and protects your tiny engine as it pounds out amazing power.
My Radio Controller

Futaba 6XA 50 MHz.

Radio Features
Electronic trim memory - Programmable mixing - Flap trims - Air brake - V-tail mixing control - Elevon operation
Switchable and Variable Rate channels, with proportional channel adjusting on the variable rate - 128-segment LCD display
Mixing, electronic trims with computer memory - ATV and servo reversing - Helicopter programming - Comes with four S3003 servos
The Futaba 6XA is a 6 Channel FM computer system on 50 MHz ( ham band ) radio control for my aircraft. I am able to use the 50 MHz. Band because I am currently a licensed ham radio operator. This will allow me to have clear frequencies at just about any airfield and not have to worry about other RC Pilots Radio Systems interfering with my aircraft. The Radio Controller is capable of running up to six different servos to control just about any aircraft. Clearly this is an outstanding computerized Radio Control.
