MEDICINAL USES:
Jewelweed is best known for its topical application as a relief for the pain and itching that comes from contact with Poison Ivy, Stinging Nettle or other skin irritants. Applied to the skin, it makes a good protective barrier against contact with Poison Ivy leaves. Apply it fresh, or you can usethe juice or decoction. Before applying Jewelweed to treat Poison Ivy, wash affected areas to remove any residues of the acrid oil.
