Jordan Isaac Powell (February 8th, 1984 - November 8th, 2004)

" For those who believe, life is not ended, but merely changed."

Jordan died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. After a courageous 21 month battle with cancer, he has gone to be with the Lord.

Jordan was a 2002 graduate of Holy Cross High School in Surrey where he played football and was an active member of the music program. He had a genuine love for people and a smile for everyone he met. Music was one of Jordan's great passions and he filled his life with it. Recorder, clarinet, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, trumpet, bodhran, keyboards: he never met an instrument he couldn't charm! He sang and played guitar for liturgical music in his parish, and was a founding member of Mutiny Gone Overboard.

Jordan was unfailingly cheerful in the face of his illness and was an inspiration to his friends and family. We have all been blessed to know him, and our lives have been made richer by his presence. He will always be in our hearts.
