This is the page where I'm supposed to write about my fascinating life as an artist. What can I say? I like watching paint dry.

What I find so interesting is that watercolour has a life of its own. It keeps moving after it is released onto the paper. Watercolour can be unpredictable, and the pigments can blend or repel each other, sink or swim on the paper. Most of all, I like how the light reflects through the pigment from the white paper surface. To enhance the colours and eliminate the glare and weight of glass, I coat the paintings with an acrylic solution polymer varnish that contains ultraviolet filters and light stabilizers.

I got serious about studying art in 1979 and still love it. Over the years I have participated in over 100 exhibitions and won some awards along the way. I am an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Alberta Society of Artists.
