Hi, I'm Jan Seedhouse, once known as Raggedy Jan, and owner of Jan's Weaving Studio, which occupies a large part of our home in Pritchard, BC. I started weaving in Prince George in 1990 where I took 2 courses from Noreen Rustad.. I soon started weaving with rags because they were cheap and I like to recycle. I wove mainly with rags for 8 years, rugs, placemats, mug rugs and runners. Then I decided to weave myself a cotton shawl to wear to our daughter's wedding. The response to that shawl has led me to make cotton scarves with lots of colour and texture one of my focuses, although I still weave with rags.
