Sun Peaks offers a number of marked hiking trails in the Alpine Meadow
high above the Village.
Ranging from Novice to Advanced, you will see over 50 different varieties
of mountain flowers and encounters with resident wildlife.

Sun Peaks offers a number of marked hiking and walking trails in and
around the village and golf course (Watch for Golf Balls !!!!)
The trails can be enjoyed during the day, or in the early evening
after an enjoyable dinner.

The trails range from short rides to get you started to
half day and full day outings.

In August there is the B.C. Mountain Bike Finals to really inspire you.
You can hook your bike to the chairlift and downhill mountain bike,
new in 1998, with all levels of difficulty.

Apres Ski Chalet is located within 1-2 hours of over 200 lakes.
Closer to the chalet is Heffley Lake and Mcgillvary Lake.
Both lakes are a 20 minute drive and each one has a boat ramp.
The area receives approximately 2000 hours of sunshine with just enough
rain to keep the fish happy.
Fishing is not just a summer activity, in the wintertime
many of the lakes are open to ice-fishing.
