I've started a blogJune 26, 2009 I've been struggling with figuring out how to talk/write about psychological safety issues in acting. One of the issues is that I think this site is too formal for some of the musings I have right now. So I hesitate to write anything at all. Another is that I need some sort of feedback to help shape my arguments, which I'm not going to get here, since this is just a bunch of webpages. In addition, I've been feeling really lonely and isolated. I need to attract other people who share my values. It's possible a blog would help with that, by making it easy to for people to think about and comment on my ideas. Talking about how I feel about the film industry is always a little tricky in person, especially at film industry-related events. ("Who is that troll?", they're thinking.) The blog is here: In the past, I didn't blog, in the strict sense, because I didn't think I could cope with having to deal with comments logistically. But I do need some sort of intelligent feedback, so I guess I'll just have to go for it. I think it's helped that I've lurked and commented on other blogs for a while now, and am getting used to the idea. It's an experiment. We'll see how it goes. |
