A "Lady in Waiting" from the Renaissance, dresses Countess Mehlinda, preparing her for a Masquerade Ball. At the ball, the Countess will meet her suitor, the Duke, for the first time.

 

A Renaissance Dance "Venus & Neptune

Everyone who attends will dress as gods or goddesses from the ancient Greek or Roman periods.

A French Dancing Master from the first dancing school formed in France by the great Sun King, Louis X1V in 1661. The Dancing Master instructs the audience in the art of dancing, snging and acting from the Baroque period

About the Artists
Mehlinda is a professional Harpist, Opera singer, Dancer (Historical & Flamenco), Costume/Set Designer and bulider. She is Artistic Director of Pacific Handel Opera Society and is presently recording her own CD, Queen of Harps. She has taught Voice at Dorset College in Vancouver and teaches privately as well.


Angela is a professional actor, dancer and singer. She has been studding, teaching and performing Baroque and Renaissance Dance and Theatre for the past eight years. Angela has worked as Movement Director for Pacific Handel Opera Society in their production of Semele. She teaches Baroque dance through the Greater Vancouver Historical Performance Society (GVHPS). In 2001/2002, Angela taught Renaissance Dance in Summerland B.C. for the Goodwill Shakespeare Festival and has taught Renaissance & Baroque Dance as well as Clown and Acting at The Okanagan School of the Arts, B.C.

Angela and Mehlinda dance, sing and act in various productions with the Greater Vancouver Historical Performance Society. They have both taught Renaissance Dance through Langara College, Vancouver and for (GVHPS)
