'The Unseen Scene' Didianus ex Criamon
Imaginem Summa Level 17 / Quality 6
Didianus expounds on a personal theory connecting the art of Imagimen with Plato's dualistic theory of Exaggerated Realism. In spite of several diversions from the main topic into seemingly unrelated discourses on the nature of the Enigma, the book is a valid source of knowledge for all Magi.
'Leabhar Laighneach' author unkown
Area Lore (Irish History) Summa Level 12 / Quality 10
This is a compilation of various Irish verse and prose from older manuscripts and oral tradition, mixed with relatively current religious (Catholic) sources. This copy of the manuscript appears to be about 40 years old. It is written in Irish, a language in which most scholarly magi from England or Wales would have sufficient exposure to identify the theme and quality. Without Irish as a known language, this book cannot be studied.
'Unknown'
The Pictish language that was used to write this manuscript is a too foreign to accurately identify the theme and quality, but several crude illustrations in the book indicate the contents pertain to non-Hermetic magic.

Description:

Falcon's Reach was found to be destroyed in late 1198 and the Quaesitors of Duresca decided to put out a call for young magi who would like to rebuild it. Most mundane supplies and a basic lab text were supplied, in return for efforts to determine the exact nature of the covenant's demise.

The original covenant had been founded in 906, and had shown itself to be sympathetic to the cause of the "Roman" (i.e. pro-Muslim) covenants of the tribunal, which had gained it enemies among those covenants that support the reconquista, especially Jaferiya. The original inhabitants included three older magi; Jasper of Tytalus, Flaminia of Criamon and Erebus of Flambeau; one younger magus, Flaminia's filius, Tempus est Iocundum of Criamon; and their grogs and servants. Only one of these, a grog named Sancho, remains, and he is mostly insane.

The new tenants have rebuilt a tower, keep and curtain wall, and have re-opened a nearby silver mine to help offset the cost of paying tribute (rent) to Don Diego Ramirez de Alcantara. Additionally they have discovered that the destruction of Falcon's Reach was at the hands of an undead army lead by a tall figure whose identity remains masked behind the cloak he wore. He had with him a cauldron from which dead bodies would return with life, or something like it.

Clearly this threat is calling upon powers beyond Hermetic magic.

Barcelona
Magi:
4 Jerbiton magi

Duresca
Magi:
7 Quaesitores magi
Located in northwest Leon, near Santiago de Compestela, Duresca remained a small covenant in the years following its founding. This all changed in 937 with the discovery of the Duresca scrolls. A large group of Quaesitors was sent to investigate the scrolls, and in the half century that followed they took over the covenant. Today Duresca is the center of Hermetic law in the Iberian Tribunal. Duresca provided much of the mundane resources for the refounding of Falcon's Reach. In return, they expect the party to determine what fate fell the previous magi.

Sutton Scotney made an additional visit to Duresca, copying several texts from their library... for future compensation.

Estancia es-Karida
Magi:
8 magi. A mix of Jerbiton, Criamon, and Ex Miscellanea.
Originally a Jerbiton covenant, enamored by the culture of the Caliphate of Cordova, Estancia-Es-Karida soon became a haven for Moslem sorcerers. Over time a Criamon presence developed in Estancia-Es-Karida, as seekers searched for Sufi wisdom. Today Estancia-Es-Karida is steadfastly Roman, but it is out of love for Moslem culture, not love for violence. It is located in the Moslem lands near Granada.

Jaferiya
Magi:
8 Flambeau magi
Geographically, this is the closest covenant to Falcon's Reach. They openly support the Reconquista in word and (so it is rumoured) deed.

Under an arangement negotiated by Pertractatio, Jaferiya has provided lab equipment in exchange for an advance copy of Scaevola's upcoming bestseller. He is writing a book on how the art of Aquam can fit with the ideals of house Flambeau.
