Come enjoy refreshments and fun while we paint our hearts out. What a
great time to get projects finished, or get new projects started and
completed. Enjoy lots of laughs and lots of fun while we get a jump
start on painting our Christmas gifts.

10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Cost: $9.00 per session or book 4 sessions for $30.00
You can get my
assistance with getting all those “not quite finished” projects
completed,
and enjoy the company and friendship of other painters while you
work on a project of your own choosing.
The cost includes a reserved chair just for you. Classroom paints can also be used if you
need any to
complete your project.
This is an excellent opportunity to socialize with others who share
the love of painting and get those U.F.O. (unfinished objects)
completed. Space is limited to 6 students per session so book your
sessions early to avoid disappointment.
Be sure to check out the discount when you book four consecutive
sessions with the Brush Buddies Club.
You can utilize the
classroom and donate your time to paint a lovely keepsake box that
will be given to an unfortunate family who has lost a baby in the
neonatal wards at a variety of Calgary and area hospitals.
This is a very worthwhile program and I am very proud to be able to
sponsor the creating of these lovely keepsake boxes for such
deserving people in our community.
This will be on a
drop-in basis;
please phone ahead to book a time as our classroom space
is limited to 6 participants.
Boxes available from the studio.
Bring a pattern of your choice or choose from a selection of
patterns previous painted on memory boxes. Students are asked to
have their box sealed and base-coated prior to the paint-in. Students
are also asked to supply their own paints, however if you’re missing a
color or two the classroom paints will be available as well.
Please book
enough time to get your box completed as there is always a need for
these boxes in the Neonatal Intensive Care programs in Calgary
hospitals.
The completed “Memory Boxes” are given to various hospitals in and
around Calgary. These Boxes are given to parents who have lost a
baby in the neo-natal intensive care ward. These boxes are filled
with memories of the child, such as foot and hand prints,
photographs, clothing, blankets, bracelets etc.
These boxes will contain the memories of a child and will become
cherished treasures for an unfortunate family who has lost a child.
Donate your time and talent to this very worthwhile cause.
My many thanks
to all those who came out to help paint the memory boxes for
deserving families in Calgary. Your generosity with your talents is
greatly appreciated.
We had a total of 6 boxes painted on September 14, 2005, and we have
many painters who have taken other boxes to get painted. THANK-YOU.
Please remember to get the boxes back to the studio as soon as
possible. Unfortunately, there is a never-ending need for these
boxes so the more we can get turned in to the Grief Counseling
Services at the hospitals the better.
Again my many thanks to everyone. We had a great time, enjoyed some
great food --- thanks to Corinne and Carolynn for their goodies and
painted some wonderful boxes for the group.
