POINSETTIA ORNAMENT /
KEEPSAKE BOX


Acrylic Tole Painting - Intermediate

DATE: Friday October 2, 2009
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: White City School – Art Room
 

Cost: $65.00
Surface: $34.95 (wooden keepsake box)
(Lid = 13 5/8” square depth of box – outside measurement
4 7/8” x 13”)
 

Detailed pictures, written instructions and all paints will be supplied in class.

PLEASE NOTE: There is pre-class work required by students prior to the class (basecoat entire box, tape and basecoat stripes on sides of the box, trace on entire pattern and basecoating of elements on the tops of the box). This pre-class work is required to ensure that we are able to complete the project in class time.
 

STUDENTS MUST SUPPLY:

  • Large wet palette

  • Paper Towel

  • Palette Paper (for working out floats)

  • Water Basin

  • Basic painting supplies (pencil, metal palette knife, chalk pencil, graphite, tracing paper, q-tips, etc..)

  • Students will require an assortment of acrylic paint brushes (flats, angles, mops, rounds, liners and stipple brushes)

  • Bring your own sandwich for lunch. There will be other goodies to add to your lunch (salad, pickles, desert, etc.)

WINTER WONDERLAND
Tube Acrylic - Some previous experience required

DATE: Saturday October 3, 2009
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: White City School – Art Room
 

Cost: $75.00
Surface: 11 x 14 canvas, included in class price


 

Detailed pictures, written instructions and all paints will be supplied in class.

PLEASE NOTE: There is pre-class work required by students prior to the class (trace on horizon line, trace on foreground trees and basecoat) This pre-class work is required to ensure that we are able to complete the project in class time.

STUDENTS MUST SUPPLY:

  • Large wet palette, Paper Towel

  • Palette Paper (for working out floats)

  • Water Basin

  • Basic painting supplies (pencil, metal palette knife, chalk pencil, graphite, tracing paper, q-tips, etc...)

  • This project will require a variety of soft (synthetic) brushes as well as hogs hair (bristle) brushes. All brushes required for the class will be available for purchase in class.

  • Bring your own sandwich for lunch. There will be other goodies to add to your lunch (salad, pickles, desert, etc.)

SNOWBODY'S HOME
Oil Rouging – All levels

DATE: Sunday October 4, 2009
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: White City School – Art Room
 

Cost: $75.00
Surface: 11 x 14 canvas, included in class price
 

Pre-class prep work will be done by the teacher in order to complete the project in class
 

Detailed pictures, written instructions and all paints, sprays and mediums will be supplied in class.

Please note: Students will require badger hair oil rouging brights and scumbler brushes. Scharff brushes will be available for purchase in class. These are the same brushes used in all Mary Owens oil rouging painting. Students will also require a Koh-i-Norr Technical pen for use in class. Again, these pens will be available for purchase in class.
 

STUDENTS MUST SUPPLY:

  • Basic painting supplies (pencil, metal palette knife, chalk pencil, graphite, tracing paper, q-tips, etc...)

  • This project requires the use of badger hair brights and scumbler brushes. All brushes required for the class will be available for purchase in class. Each student will require a technical pen to complete the inking for this project. These are also available for purchase in class.

  • Bring your own sandwich for lunch. There will be other goodies to add to your lunch (salad, pickles, desert, etc.)
