Members receive a regular newsletter (internet version requires PDF Reader). The society offers Japanese classes through the heritage and language school. Annual special events include the Christmas Concert for Children, Autumn Bazaar, the Bon Odori and the Keirokai or Seniors' Dinner to honour elders in the Japanese-Canadian Community. The Japanese hall acts as a meeting place for the Buddhist Church group/Buddhist Daruma School, Vernon Judo Club, Odori (Japanese dance), ikebana, eigakai movie club and Fujinkai, the Japanese Women's Auxiliary.
Special events for 2007 include a Japanese Film Fest presented by the Consulate General of Japan and the Japan Foundation and a Taste of Japan Pre-Film Party, both on September 13th.
