Members receive a regular newsletter (internet version requires PDF Reader). The society offers Japanese classes through the heritage and language school. Annual special events include the Christmas Concert for Children, Autumn Bazaar, the Bon Odori and the Keirokai or Seniors' Dinner to honour elders in the Japanese-Canadian Community. The Japanese hall acts as a meeting place for the Buddhist Church group/Buddhist Daruma School, Vernon Judo Club, Odori (Japanese dance), ikebana, eigakai movie club and Fujinkai, the Japanese Women's Auxiliary.
Our special event for 2009 will be a Japanese Film Fest presented by Japan Foundation.
Our special event for 2008 was the 20th Anniversary of Redress celebration held in Kamloops.
Special events for 2007 included a Japanese Film Fest presented by the Consulate General of Japan and the Japan Foundation and a Taste of Japan Pre-Film Party.
