These funny looking people are these: a faily good Gandalf, an erased Aragorn, Aragorn's eyes, eyebrows, and nose, and Galadriel lacking a face. Gandalf was the first drawn, and drawn a bit further back than Aragorn, who was drawn (???) lots further back than Galadriel, whom I never finished because she looked so good that if I added a face it would spoil it. (See my fanart on LinT)

After muffing Aragorn, I put a note underneath saying (I had just watched Star Wars Ep. I, my first movie on bigscreen) "Like Qui-gon Jinn without beard". I guess Viggo Mortensen is pretty good, but I don't really think he is really as good as the Aragorn in my head who won't come out.

Good things that happened today: new presents under the tree! Yay! I can't tell what they are, so I'm excited! Mom had to think a bit before she remembered what they were - just like last year.
The wind was so cool last night! I looked outside, and it was blustery like a storm at sea.
Mom shared some chocolate that she got at work with us!
DiscDrive is the greatest radio programme!

Bad things: I've been having headaches and being tired and almost crying all over the place for no reason.
Mom took all but eleven cookies to work by today. I will make more tomorrow, so that can be fixed.
My violin bow is breaking!

That last, I think, is the combination of a really dry atmosphere and a sudden bout of a whole evening of hard playing (during which I got randomly depressed for 'not being able to play difficult songs without practicing!'). My list included Meditation from Thaïs, Monti's Czardas (blah), Salut, d'Amour by Elgar, that great song from Master and Commander x3, Jingle Bells (very badly), Ashokan Farewell, and a zillion Kreisler pieces: Liebeslied, Sicillienne and Rigaudon, and the Preludium from Preludium and Allegro (woo).

Now it has a rather large and dangerous looking crack in the slender part just before the tip. Waa. This gives me a lump in the throat every time I think of it. I know that everything breaks all the time, but why does everything expensive have to break at once?

However, on the good side, Golden has a new page, by Aja, the person who does True Magic! It's so funny! She does great pages. It would have cheered me up perfectly if I had seen it after all those bad things happened.
