| Ceniro drawn Apr 17-18, '04 posted for Feb 1, 2007 (63) This is Ceniro's first full-body character design sketch, and he hasn't changed much since! Actually, it hasn't changed at all. I faithfully follow every detail of this picture every time I draw him, except when I'm lazy... Compare it with the avatar over there... that thing is based on this picture - i.e. I copied Ceniro's head into that picture, and then painted over it using FE colouring techniques. More on that when we get to Fall '05. The avatar should give you an idea of what colours he has, though, like the yellow buttons on his cloak... I like those buttons... His eyes are a bit dark, though. They're supposed to be a bit lighter grey than that. Today I picked up my violin as a fiddle for the first time since I left Fiddlejam back in Courtenay, and found out I remember some of my favourites, but not all. Bless Jeremy and his foresightedness in creating his CD "Howzat Go?". Curse me for not remembering where I put it! ^_^7 My scanner/printer can now print... I don't know if it can scan, though. I've been meaning to say this for a couple months... Via Choralis, a choir I accompany, is doing Porgy and Bess selections for their next concert... well, I always imagine the lines from the first tune as being "Oh, I got plenty o' nuttin', and nuttin's got plenty o' me" instead of whatever the real words are. Sounds dumb. I read No Rest for the Wicked for the first time, and if you like Shreck or The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, this is the exact same sort of thing. It's a little darker in tone, but very entertaining. I like how all the plot points of various fairytales are so interwoven that it's impossible to seperate them - that, like in real life, the stories affect each other. Also... "In fairy tales, you can't always trust your own parents to not try and kill you; but if a strange old woman you've never seen before tells you that your true love's favorite hairpin can be found in the seventh castle on the seventh mountain in the belly of a fish that's in the belly of a frog that's in the belly of a heron that's at the bottom of a well that's at the bottom of seven other wells underneath a rock shaped like a harpsichord, you can bet your life that's where it'll be." That's commentary from Chapter 1. Oh, and I also have used about 6 or 7 megabytes in this website, and we have 10 to use, so unless I can convince Dad to get more (it's some mysterious process which I don't understand) this place is sunk in another couple of weeks. Or else I'll just have about 70-80 pictures tops and just replace the old ones! Then there would be no point to the archives, though... I will be creating Ceniro and Flairé's theme pages as soon as I have a little more time. Saturday will be a bad day since my brother wants to wargame at the shop. Blah. |
