Wheel - A Fire Emblem Holiday Part II drawn April, '04 posted for Feb 2, 2007 (64) Personally I really, really, really liked the play California Adventure had at that time - a stage production of Aladdin. Terrific. Yesterday (Saturday) my brother and I attended the opening of Da Battle Of Da Bosses, a Warhammer Canada event lasting this whole month. Forgive the bad spelling of the orcs... they're trying to be uneducated un-intellectual stupid (or stoopid) killing machines with bad accents... We each got a button with three orc skulls on it as a prize for attending. The plot: there are three orc chieftans, each trying to be the top dog, and they get the absolutely brilliant idea of "the first one to smash the human (Empire) fort down there is boss". Oddly enough, there was only one unit of goblins (little orcs, right?) and NO Empire at all at our battle... It was Chaos, Ogres, and Tomb Kings vrs High Elves (me - 16 archers + bolt thrower), Bretonnians which included my brother, and some Dwarves and Lizardmen. I think the good guys lost, but there was so much 'recycling' (units which are dead get to re-deploy as new units) we couldn't tell. It's all tallied in points, anyway. This was all in about four and a half hours of solid gaming. The first three and a half were actually quite enjoyable, and they had Mars by Holst and the Star Wars theme on their sound system. Then I came home and began working on my Link figure. It still has holes in the seams. Drat. Now I'm quite tired, and I don't really feel like doing anything. It's only luck I managed to have enough energy to update for all the days when there seemed to be a scheduling conspiracy to keep me away from the computer. Plus my brother wants so much attention, and Mom tried to clean the whole house like crazy yesterday, and I couldn't practice my piano. |
