This
mermaid was drawn on the spur of the moment, trying to emulate a flowing,
dreamy style that I did once before of a dryad and a swanlady and a peacock
- all three in one being, connected to each other. So, in this, you can see
the fish, perhaps, without the girl. Her hair and arms should look like seaweed,
and I tried to give her face a bit of a hauting, otherworldly expression.
Unfortunately, I don't think my skills are quite up to that.After some deliberation, I put this in Zela's world. Why not mermaids? They can be shy secretive creatures if they don't play a large role in the story, which I'm sure they won't.
On research, I found that the dryad picture was from 2003, so I'll put it up tomorrow.
I'm also putting up more RnK - Chapter 5 here. Also I added a lot to the characters page.
Yesterday I went in the store-room/hobby-room and was so shocked by the mess on the hobby table that I cleaned it up. It is now fit for painting in. My room followed suit today. In hobbying, I am still working away at the gaps on the Link model, and I'm also cleaning up my High Elf Dragon Princes' horses in preparation for gluing. I also found the pegasi I was given for Christmas, and the feminine body that will become the base of all my Fire Emblem conversions, some of which may be done with Sculpey clay, or Green Stuff, or both. Also, I really need to finish Tuor, but I'm a bit afraid to. I can also start Turgon and Idril and that extra bolt thrower and Voronwë and some orcs (to bash up, of course) and even some other models I have lying around. And I should get another unit of Spearmen. I think I'll start with just Turgon and Idril, though, and then my small family of characters will be complete. My brother's imagination is fired by the clean space, and I hope he has much enjoyment in there tomorrow when the TV room will be off-limits thanks to me. Eeeee...
Today it actually snowed oddly in the morning, with little white pellets coming from the sky.
