This picture must have been drawng AFTER I finished the elf archer costume mentioned above, since it follows pretty faithfully what I wore for Hallowe'en that year. Actually, yes, it does, because I made most of the costume the year before, in the guise of an elf knight. It was a Warhammer High Elf knight, the one from inside the front cover of the rulebook (that one's really nice-looking). I made a white robe, and cardboard-and-foil armour that laced up with string, and even a cardboard helmet. This year, I took an interest in archery instead of spears - and I didn't even make a spear - so I made a quiver out of wire and brown cloth, and a bow out of long pieces of bamboo from our bamboo windbreak on the deck, and also I got out the old raggedy cloak that was made from two pieces of gauzy curtain that Mom and Dad were going to throw away. Don't laugh, this was all quite good for my skill level then! Also I had a white ribbon that I tied around my head a la Fiora. I looked pretty nerdy when I was done, but I was happy with it. Now, if I just had a pointy-ear-maker-mechanism...

Today, my piano teacher was happy with my improvements, and my composition teacher liked my compositions! Also, I came out of the Conservatory and saw the 28 bus across the road, and it was taking on a handicapped person and then the light changed and it couldn't pull out into traffic (it was about 5:15 - busy time) so I had time to go all the way down to the light, cross the street, and walk leisurely up to the bus stop and sit down for a couple of seconds. Then the bus driver opened the doors again for a couple seconds for me. Thanks. After all that, Dad, who was taking my brother to a masterclass scheduled for 5:30, passed me when I was walking up the hill from the home-bus-stop to our house at about 5: 40.
