This
picture was inspired by the Enya song Lonships, which is perhaps her loveliest
or second-loveliest song. The other one is Shepherd Moons, but this one is
rather thrilling. Anyway, here's a short piece of prose describing one version of it. The names are purely random and mean nothing.I like the kayaks.
I went to a Broadway concert last night. Gwen invited me. The first half was just different songs, sung by different people, and they did the Stepsisters' Lament! I like that song, it's really funny. "So why is the fellow going crazy?" They did others, funny, beautiful, whatever. The second half was a pirate play, and the old marooned pirate captain sang "I'm Reviewing the Situation", and it was very good, all of the show. Also there was a one-legged dapperly-dressed man who didn't want to go treasure hunting, he wanted to be "On Broadway!" so he sang a song about it, which morphed into a hip-hop dance with tap shoes. Then he was depressed because he wouldn't get to Broadway, so his fellow pirates sang "Look on the Bright Side of Life". I've never seen Life of Brian, but I know the plot because of this. Which, by the way, doesn't usually have anything to do with Monty Python unless it's relevant - it is the B-Movie Comic, after all.
So now I want to look up the musicals that all those songs were in and find out about the plots.
