| Sesshoumaru loves Konane drawn June 21 '05 posted for May 24, 2007 (175) She's definitely shorter than he is... That's good, at least... And I know now the Tenseiga (I think it's called?), that massive big sword, is more massively big than I drew it. In the title I actually put a little heart instead of 'loves'. Thursday... I can't remember what I did on Thursday. Too bad, too. Oh, yeah, this is the day of the zillion rehearsals and the massive concert! Well, I rehearsed Gwen's oboe sonata with her (supposed to be the Oboe Quartet by Mozart, but arranged for oboe and piano) and then Martin wanted to go through the Castella one more time, and Mike likes LinT (who wouldn't?) which I recommended to him solely because he resembles Xilic (okay, not solely, but he does look like Xilic). Yah. The concert was great, everyone played well, my Gershwin went off great, people complimented me on it, but I really want to talk about the Shostakovich which ended it. I don't remember the number, but the players were Braden Young, Matthew Ross, and Phillip Manning, and my brother thinks Braden's the greatest. It starts with the cello playing really eerie harmonics, and the piano comes in quite simply, and the stained glass windows were all dark. It enhanced the mood of the piece a lot. I especially liked the very quiet parts, at the beginning, which I just described, and the very end. They played the whole thing. I'd say more but I need to stop. Darn. Out of time. |
