| Flairé, playing Dungeons and Dragons v. 1 drawn July 10, '06 posted for Oct 4, 2007 (298) This was drawn from a rather funny sequence involving Flairé and Dungeons and Dragons. Flairé: What do you mean? All sequences with me in them are funny. Yeah, but this one was extra funny. Here's how it was. Dungeon: Room 1: Jervis is hallucinating fighting dragons solo. Room 2: Marialla is overcome with terror at seeing her reflection reflected a million zillion times. Room 3: Dwarf Wiz's energy is completely drained and he can't move an inch. Room 4: Flairé decides he'd better not go in, as the Dungeon Master has just pointed out that we're losing one party member per room, and in a predictable pattern. Ron is the only one unaffected. So Flairé tries to be prudent and my brother drags him into the room anyway, using wierd enchantments. And yeah, Flairé can fall asleep fast when bored. Today my grandparents arrived and talked about their trip to Germany, and they gave us all presents: souvenirs from their visit to a Renoir exhibit at a museum, a pair of balls that flash red and blue when bounced, a picture of Mom and Dad and Kevin at the beach, and they gave me a lovely ring and two GREAT CDs of organ music. One of them's in the Frauenkirche in Dresden, which has just been restored, and there's BWV 596, one of the Vivaldi concerto transcriptions, Pièce d'orgue which is BWV 572 and is one of my favourite organ pieces of all time, and also the Duruflé Toccata. Yay! The ring is amythest. The stone is a bit big, but it has little Celtic swirls on each side of it. The Pièce d'orgue is one of those pieces that makes me happy just by listening to the first couple of bars. A couple of the others that do that also are the Gigue Fugue, and the Fugue in G+, BWV 550. |
