I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ronnie Bains and I have been teaching for 11 years, the last 10 years here at McNair Secondary. I am a graduate of McNair myself who was inspired to continue studies in science by the wonderful teachers who taught here. I completed the Bachelors of Science degree program at Simon Fraser University and then went on to obtain my Bachelors of Education at the University of British Columbia. I have been married for nine years and have two precious little daughters. My family and I enjoy eating out, watching movies, swimming, and traveling! I also enjoy reading, eating chocolate, learning about technology, and teaching.
I believe that all students can learn and have success when they are held to high expectations and motivated. I expect students to come to class prepared to learn. I am available for help before school, during lunch, and after school with advance notice. I am looking forward to another great year!
