at SFU
in 2004 studying Educational Leadership & Curriculum Design in post
secondary settings. |
Bruce lives in Vernon BC, part of the Sunny
Okanagan, with his wife Maureen.

Instructional Design & Delivery specializing in Training, Orientation

Bruce keeps
pretty busy cycling, walking and running around town. He is a
regular attendee and, past chair, of the Greater Vernon Cycling Advisory Committee
that meets at 8 AM on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Vernon.

An
avid bicycling educator, Bruce has organised the training for groups of
4 to 120 people! He has facilitated seminars such as: the VACC's ABC's
of Cycling Advocacy, Train the Trainer Bike Commuter and Bruce delivered and wrote the book for the Ride
Leader Workshop after successfully organising
seminars on Bike Touring
and Winter Riding.
Bruce has been awarded
Cycling
BC ‘Volunteer of the Year’ in 1994 and Presidents Award’ in
1995 and became a
CCA CANBIKE National Examiner in 1996 and invited to join the ICBC
Bicycle Advisory committee in 1999. In 2000 Bruce and Maureen received
the VACC 'Volunteer(s) of the Year'
Award.
In
cycling education circles across North America, Bruce is known for having
created and defined the term "veloquent" in his article about
The Social and Emotional Aspects of Transportation Cycling.
