The Claresholm & District Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in our annual Trade Fair which will be held at the Claresholm Community Center.

There will be 72 booths available for rent inside, as well as outdoor display space available for vehicles and farm implements. The booths will be 10’ x 6’ in size with electrical outlets available. If you require any special requirements for equipment & accessories please indicate on the application form so arrangements can be made. Security will be provided both on Thursday and Friday nights.

Set Up Times: Thursday, Feb. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Friday, Feb 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Exhibit Hours: Friday, Feb 2 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Feb 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be an exhibitors lounge available for rest periods.

All exhibitors are invited to a social get together following closing time on Friday night. This will be a great opportunity to meet the other exhibitors and do a little networking. A no host bar will be available. Once again we will have a few added attractions including entertainment on Friday evening and a Mini Antiques Road Show on Saturday. A concession will also be operating during Trade Fair hours. The Chamber is striving to make this the best Trade Fair yet so make sure and get your application in right away.

Early Bird Registration Draw

If you book your booth(s) by November 30, 2006 you will be eligible for a draw to receive your Trade Fair Booth for free.

Door Prize Draws

The Chamber will be drawing winners for door prizes near the end of the show on Saturday and will be happy to announce all door prize winners from participating exhibitors at this time as well.

First Come - First Served

We have a huge amount of interest in our Trade Show for the coming year due to the huge success last year. Be sure to get your registration in early. Priority will be given to those who pay for their booths in full. We will not hold booths for anyone unless the $150 deposit is made and the completed registration form is submitted. The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce will exercise reasonable precaution for the protection of property of the Exhibitors, by Security Personnel, but shall assume no responsibility for loss or damage of property of Exhibitors placed in exhibit area or adjacent grounds and is discharged from all liabilities. Exhibitors shall be liable for any damages which he/she may cause to the Claresholm Community Centre.

It is understood and agreed by the Exhibitor that the Chamber of Commerce may cancel said show and may cancel this contract, if the opinion of the Chamber of Commerce, such Show would be impractical and/or inadvisable.

Exhibitors who desire insurance on their exhibits must place the same at their own expense. The Chamber of Commerce retains the right to restrict, exclude or evict Exhibitors or Exhibits which because of their method of operation or display becomes objectionable or detracts from the general character of the Show. This includes noise, persons, things, printed matter, or anything else the Chamber of Commerce considers, in its sole discretion, to be objectionable. In the event the above-mentioned becomes necessary, the Chamber of Commerce may retain the rent paid as liquidated damages for breach of this contract.

These rules and regulations become part of the Contract for Exhibit Space for the 2007 Claresholm Town & Country Trade Fair.

Terms of Payment

• A deposit of $150 will be required upon the signing of this agreement. The balance is payable by January 15, 2007.

• No exhibitor will be permitted space or part of exhibit space until the rental of the space has been paid in full.

• Preference will be given to those who have paid in full.

• Free draw for one booth for all those registered and paid in full by November 30, 2006.

Cancellation

• Cancellation of space must be made in writing and received by the Chamber of Commerce by January 25, 2007.

• In the event such cancellation is received by the Chamber of Commerce by January 25, 2007, the full deposit will be refunded, less a $50 cancellation fee.

General Rules

• Exhibitors may start setting up Thursday, February 1, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and/or Friday, February 2, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Large displays or cars must be brought into the Community Centre on Thursday, February 2, 2006.

• The exhibitor agrees to display only products as indicated on the attached contract.

• Subletting of space is prohibited. Two or more companies may not exhibit in a single space unless approved by the Chamber of Commerce.

• The exhibitor agrees to comply with all laws and regulations provided by Municipal, Provincial and Federal governments.

• Use of video tapes and tape recorders will be permitted where appropriate to display, provided sound is maintained at no more than “conversation” level; the Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to restrict Exhibitors use of sound and other devices which may interfere with the best interest of the Trade Show as a whole.

• Exhibitors must leave displays up until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007.

** All contracts for space and accompanying deposits MUST BE RECEIVED BY JANUARY 15, 2007.**

All payments are to be made in full by January 15, 2007.

BOOTH SPONSORSHIP - Sometimes, local community groups need booth sponsorship. If you would like to support a local non-profit group by purchasing a booth and allowing them to use it, please call Don Leonard at 625-4401.

(Above) Hidden Treasures' Brian Lehman, an appraiser from Calgary, was an added attraction this year at the Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce town and country trade fair. He visited with people and told them what he thought the items they brought are worth. Here he checks out a candlestick brought by John Putzi of Claresholm. He is tentatively booked again for next year's trade fair too.
